Getting started

MCP

On this page

Notifiable ships a hosted MCP server so your AI assistant can work in your workspace the same way you use the dashboard: apps, subscribers, segments, notifications, events, automations, webhooks, and more. We built it so agents can set Notifiable up for you — authenticate, create or reuse an app, install the SDK, verify with a test notification, and draft segments and automations — without you wiring every step by hand.

Server URL: https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp

Fastest path

Paste this into Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or another coding agent. It reads agent.md, connects MCP, and keeps credentials out of chat:

Read https://notifiable.sh/agent.md and follow it to set up Notifiable in this project. Connect its MCP server, help me sign up or sign in, reuse or create the appropriate app, install and configure the SDK, and verify the integration with a test notification. Propose relevant lifecycle segments and workflows, and create them as drafts. Keep credentials out of chat and source control.

More context: AI agents.

Connect manually

If you prefer to add the server yourself, use a workspace server API key (Settings → API keys in the dashboard). Use a server key, not a public SDK key. Do not commit the key or paste it into client app code.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → MCP.
  2. Add a new MCP server named notifiable.
  3. Use this config (replace the key):
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "notifiable": {
      "url": "https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ntf_key_YOUR_SERVER_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

You can also put the same block in .cursor/mcp.json in your project.

  1. Save, then make sure the server shows as connected.
  2. Ask Cursor to list your apps, draft a notification, or manage a segment — it will use Notifiable tools when they help.

Claude

Claude Code

Add the remote server (replace the key):

claude mcp add --transport http notifiable https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer ntf_key_YOUR_SERVER_API_KEY"

Or add the same JSON as Cursor under Claude’s MCP settings / claude_desktop_config.json if you use the Claude Desktop app with remote MCP support.

Claude Desktop

  1. Open Claude’s MCP / connector settings.
  2. Add a custom MCP server with URL https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp.
  3. Send your server API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header (same pattern as Cursor).
  4. Restart Claude if it asks you to, then confirm Notifiable tools appear.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, add a custom MCP / connector pointed at https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp.
  2. Complete the sign-in flow when ChatGPT opens it.
  3. On the Notifiable connect page, paste your workspace server API key and confirm.
  4. Return to ChatGPT. You can ask it to work in your Notifiable workspace (list apps, create a segment, send a development notification, and so on).

ChatGPT uses a secure connect flow so you paste the key once on Notifiable’s page instead of storing it in a local config file.

Other MCP clients

Any client that supports Streamable HTTP MCP can use the same URL:

  • URL: https://mcp.notifiable.sh/mcp
  • Auth: Authorization: Bearer + your server API key

That covers Codex, VS Code MCP extensions, and similar tools. Point them at the URL, add the header, and enable the server.

What you can do after connecting

Once the MCP is connected, ask the assistant in plain language, for example:

  • “List the apps in my workspace.”
  • “Create a development segment for iOS subscribers with push enabled.”
  • “Draft and send a test notification to that segment.”
  • “Show recent delivery analytics for this app.”
  • “Publish this automation” or “Pause webhooks for production.”

Prefer development until you are ready for production. Do not ask the agent to delete data, rotate keys, or change production without reviewing the action first.
